Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit on Tour – Azerbaijani Chapter

Last week dr Bianka Siwińska and Joanna Maraszek traveled to Baku to promote the scholarships for the upcoming edition of Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit and to share the idea of Poland as an IT Hub!

We visited universities: Baku Engineering University, Baku Higher Oil School, Azerbaijan State Oil University, Azerbaijani French University, ADA University and Azerbaijan Technological University) – thanks to all academic representatives for such a warm welcome and your willingness to support our activities.

We also had the pleasure to learn more about Azerbaijani Women in Tech Communities, we met with FemTech (Nazrin Guluzade) Women Techmakers Baku (Inji Aliyeva, Laman Jalilova and Hagigat Ahmadova), and UNDP Azerbaijan represented by Leyla S Seyidzade.
At the end of our stay in Baku we signed the Memorandum of Understandings with Femmes Digitales, the Azerbaijani community supporting and inspiring women into ICT.
 
Big thanks for the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Baku His Excellency Ambassador Rafał Poborski and Secretary Bartosz Musiałowicz for helping us organize the meetings and supporting our mission.
 
It was a very busy but effective time, full of open-minded conversation about women empowerment and how to combine our forces in pursuing our mission. We hope that the effects of our collaboration will be visible during the Perspektywy Women in Tech Summit 2022.
